Official Statement on NACS EventsOur team is actively monitoring the disease situation that has been named "coronavirus disease 2019" (abbreviated "COVID-19"). We remain in close contact with local, state and federal agencies, health officials, employment law firms, event venue partners, retailers and suppliers as conditions evolve.
As a result of our regular dialogue and recommendations from public health authorities, we are proceeding with all regularly scheduled NACS events in 2020 at this time—with the exception of NACS Convenience Summit Asia (originally scheduled March 3-5 in Bangkok, Thailand; postponed until March 2-4, 2021).
Our team is committed to planning safe events and providing guidance as it becomes available from government agencies and public health experts. We are in constant contact with the appropriate public health authorities in each host state as well as with the CDC and the WHO. Based on their counsel, we have proactively taken the following actions on-site for each event:
- Providing disinfectant wipes, antibacterial spray and hand sanitizer stations for common areas and meeting spaces
- Conducting microphone/podium wipe downs for our speakers
- Onsite availability of public health literature
- Review of food safety, hygiene and other necessary protocols with all venue and hotel partners to confirm compliance with CDC and WHO standards
- Should the situation expand or include specific guidance for event or retail-specific operations, we will alert you immediately.
