We are excited to announce a new initiative that will make a significant difference in our community: GameChanger July: Empowering Students, Preventing Substance Abuse. This campaign, running from July 1 to July 31, aims to support GameChanger, a student-powered substance misuse prevention movement in West Virginia. GameChanger connects students and educators with the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation to create school environments that prevent opioid and other drug use before it starts.
How You Can Help:
We are asking our retailer members to sell $1 emblems in your convenience stores throughout July. Each emblem sold will directly contribute to the GameChanger mission, empowering our youth and fostering a drug-free future.
Why This Matters:
Substance misuse is a critical issue affecting our youth, and early prevention is key to making a lasting impact. By participating in this campaign, you will:
- Support Prevention Programs: Funds raised will go towards building environments that discourage drug use among students.
- Empower Students: Help equip students with the tools and resources they need to make positive choices.
- Strengthen Communities: Join a collective effort to create safer, healthier communities for everyone.
How to Participate:
- Display the Emblems: Place the $1 emblems prominently in your stores where customers can easily see and purchase them.
- Promote the Campaign: Use in-store signage, social media, and other channels to let your customers know about this important initiative.
- Collect Donations: Encourage customers to support the cause by purchasing an emblem during their visit.
Together, we can make a real difference in the fight against substance misuse. Let’s work together to empower our youth and build a brighter, drug-free future for West Virginia.
